He served for 13 years in the United States Marine Corps. After service, among other things, he was a financial analyst at the Electric Power Research Institute, an employee of the US Department of State, and a manager providing IT services to the US armed services. He holds an MBA from the University of Notre Dame de Namur in California and a degree in leadership and cyber security from the University of San Diego.

Paddy McGuinness, CMG OBE

Brunswick Group

Paddy McGuinness advises businesses and governments on data and cyber issues, business resili-ence and geopolitical and regulatory risk. From 2014 – 2018, he was the UK’s Deputy National Security Advisor for Intelligence, Security and Resilience advising two successive British Prime Minsters on UK Homeland Security policy. This included the UK’s National Risk Assessment and ability to respond to and recover from all hazards and threats, National crisis response, and the National Cyber Security Strategy and Programme.

In private practice he has supported and advised clients globally on ransomware, data loss and product vulnerability. In 2023 alone this has covered the finance, healthcare, entertainment, in-dustrial production and data processing sectors on three continents.

Paddy is a founder investor in Oxford Digital Health and Venari Security and advises a set of cyber and security scale ups: Kazuar-Tech, Glasswall, BlackOut, Strider Technologies, and Satelles.

Jonasz Danilewicz

Technology Consulting, Manager, Information Technology Expert at EY Poland, emeging tech EY GDS

A global leader in critical infrastructure security and industrial control systems (ICS). Peter is co-founder of the operational technology (OT) and IoT teams at EY.

He participates in the development of international OT and cybersecurity standards, and supports governments in critical infrastructure protection. He contributes to the creation of existing regulations, methods and standards.

Prior to this role, Piotr served as Critical Infrastructure Security Team Leader at EMEIA, Piotr Ciepiela, is a co-founder of the OT (Operational Technology) and IoT (Internet of Things) practice at EY. A leader in critical infrastructure security and industrial automation. More than 17 years of experience managing international OT and IoT security projects across the United States, South America, Europe, Asia and the Middle East area.

He has co-authored a book on critical infrastructure and numerous publications on ICS and SCADA security. He lectures at conferences related to critical infrastructure regulation.

Piotr holds a master’s degree in cryptography and computer networks from the West Pomeranian University of Technology in Szczecin.

Jonah is an expert in information technology. He has extensive knowledge and rich experience gained from industrial systems projects. He designs and implements IT systems (ERP, MES, LIMS, CRM, BI) and supervises teams of Automation and IT Engineers. Enthusiast of AR/VR and Blockchain technologies in industry.

Inka Karppinen

Lead Behavioural Scientist at CybSafe

Dr Inka Karppinen is a Lead Behavioural Scientist at CybSafe, an award-winning human risk management platform focusing on behavioural analytics. She is also an Honorary Research Fellow at University College London (UCL).

Inka is interested in all aspects of helping people, leading her on a unique path encompassing both industry and academia. She has an MRes and a PhD in security and crime science from the University College London (UCL) and MSc in occupational psychology from Birkbeck. She is a chartered psychologist with the British Psychological Society (BPS), an expert fellow of the Security, Privacy, Identity, Trust Engagement NetworkPlus (Sprite+) and a Member of the Global Association of Applied Behavioural Scientists (GAABS). She strongly advocates bringing together people involved in research, practice and policy.At CybSafe, Inka’s role is to add a magical sprinkle of BS (Behavioural Science!) to the product by applying mixed methods research techniques to design workable digital solutions. She also leads thought leadership projects such as the yearly ‘Oh Behave!’ report. She loves narrowing the research gap between academia and practice creating a meaningful positive impact on people’s lives.

Adriyan Pavlykevych

Adriyan, as Chief Information Security Officer at SoftServe, is responsible for
ensuring the technological vision, development and implementation of a company-wide programme of
information technology. He leads the planning and implementation of the company’s information systems company that support both distributed and centralised business operations, ensuring more efficient and cost-effective IT operations across the enterprise. Committed to innovation and continuous optimisation, Adriyan uses his extensive industry experience to further improve the company’s management processes, resulting in which enable faster and seamless productivity.

Under his leadership, the ІТ SoftServe division has been transformed into a service-oriented organisation service-oriented, with robust processes and implementing an IT management system (ITSM) based on ITIL. His experience and personal achievements in the development of SoftServe’s IT department have been recognised with Best CIO awards in 2009 and 2010 by leading Ukrainian technology magazine Computer Review.

Adriyan is a graduate of Lviv Polytechnic University and received a master’s degree with honours in degree in electrical engineering.

Jacek Oko

Appointed by the Sejm of the Republic of Poland as President of the Office of Electronic Communications on 18 September 2020.

An academic worker and manager, for many years he combined his teaching work with managerial positions in the Department of Informatisation of Wrocław University of Technology and in the Wrocław Centre for Network and Supercomputing.

His professional interests are focused on technical, business and legal aspects of telecommunications services and ICT networks, as well as on the development of the Internet, the convergence of telecommunications, IT and media and the problems of the information society.

In 1998-2002 he worked for Telefonia Lokalna S.A. in Wrocław, among others, as Director of the Data Transmission Network Department. In 2004-2005, Member of the Management Board of TK 3 sp. z o.o., in 2005-2008 Member of the Management Board and Director of the Technology Department in Tele Video Media sp. z o.o. (subsequently transformed into Avista Media sp. z o. o.), from 2008 to 2009 Director of the Technology Department of Telefonia DIALOG S.A.

Docent at the Wrocław University of Technology. Director of the Informatisation Department of the Technical University since 2009, Director of the Wrocław Network and Supercomputing Centre since 2010, Director of the Informatisation Department since 2018, Deputy Chancellor of the Wrocław University of Technology for Informatisation.

In his career, he managed, among others, the projects “Cyber-security for the future economy”, “Specialised Polish Scientific Infrastructure for Research Laboratories (SPIN-LAB)” and “Cloud Computing – new technologies in the didactic offer of Wrocław University of Technology”, and is the author of numerous scientific publications.

He holds a PhD in electronics engineering with a specialisation in telecommunications. He completed a project management course at The George Washington University School of Business and Public Management.

Leszek Klimowicz

Head of Information Security Team Wroclaw Networking and Supercomputing Center | Wroclaw University of Science and Technology

Retired officer of the Polish Police, co-founder of the Cybercrime Unit of the Provincial Police Headquarters in Wroclaw, where he prosecuted cybercriminals for many years.

He is a graduate of the Police Academy in Szczytno with a postgraduate degree in Internal Security in the field of Forensics in the Criminal Process. He also completed the Managerial Postgraduate Studies at the Wrocław University of Economics.

For many years, he was involved in responding to IT security incidents reported by public and private entities, analyzing: system logs provided by these entities, malware, mobile devices and computer units in connection with the activities of cyber criminals. Conducted a number of preventive activities regarding Internet threats in private and public entities. He was involved in information exchange with CERT departments located within public institutions and private entities. He has participated in a number of domestic and foreign training courses related to IT security.

He currently holds the position of Information Security Team Manager of WCSS PWr.

Tymoteusz Przybylski

Centrum Usług Informatycznych we Wrocławiu

Graduate of postgraduate studies in Cyber Security and MBA in IT management. He has participated in IT system implementation projects of both local and nationwide nature. Currently manages the IT Services Centre in Wrocław, an organisation responsible for the maintenance and development of IT services in the Municipality of Wrocław, including the improvement of their security level. The CUI has recently achieved certification to the ISO/IEC 27001:2022 standard and has maintained its ISO/IEC 20000:2018 certification.

He graduated in telecommunication at AGH University of Science and Technology in Krakow and holds an MBA, CISM and CIA certificates.
